Privacy Policy
Ruru House Limited, 246 Richmond Road, Lepperton, cares for your whānau’s information the way we care for your tamariki. This policy explains how we handle the personal information you share with us when you enquire about a place or book a farm tour.
What we collect. Your name, email and phone number, your child’s first name and age, the days you’re looking for, and your preferred start date. We collect this through our website forms, Facebook and Instagram enquiry forms, email, phone, and in person.
Why we collect it. To reply to your enquiry, arrange a farm tour, offer a place when one comes up, and keep in touch about your child’s enrolment. We don’t use it for anything else, and we never sell it.
Who sees it. Our centre team. The services we use to run our website, enquiries and advertising (Squarespace, Discover, Google and Meta) also process information on our behalf.
Website and advertising. Our website and ads use cookies and similar tools from Google and Meta. These tell us which ads lead to enquiries. They don’t tell us who you are. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.
If you’d rather not share. Everything is your choice. Without your contact details, though, we can’t get back to you.
How long we keep it. We keep enquiry details for 24 months. If your child enrols, they become part of your child’s enrolment record. If not, we delete them.
Your rights. You can ask to see the information we hold about you and ask us to correct it at any time. Contact Anna or Nic at anna@ruruhouse.co.nz or 021 156 3300.
Concerns. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, please talk to us first. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
